Advanced aquatic Therapy Training

Wata Level 1

Sardinia, Italy

June 14-20, 2026

Deepen your WATA journey

with the next level of certified education

Limited to 8 participants

Are you ready

to go below

the surface?

If you've completed the WATA Fundamentals or Watsu 1 and feel a deeper call, WATA 1 is where your journey continues.

This training invites you to move with more confidence, fluidity and creative expression.

You will learn to support longer underwater sequences, combine techniques with advanced breathwork, and refine the energetic and emotional attunement that makes your sessions truly transformative.

Why WATA?

WATA (WaterDance) is a pioneering aquatic therapy developed in 1987. Combining movement, massage, stretching and underwater guidance, it fosters emotional, physical and energetic release.

Practiced in warm water, it supports deep relaxation and a profound reconnection with the breath and body.

While it’s a recognized therapeutic discipline, WATA is also a profound journey of personal transformation. This training supports your evolution as an aquatic professional or deep personal explorer, releasing your limitations and preparing you for the next level of the Wata Training path: WATA 2.

What becomes yours after these days

  • Certification in WATA Level 1, part of the official WABA path

  • Mastery of advanced techniques: dynamic movements, underwater sequences and transitions

  • Expanded skills in breath connection, retention and rhythm

  • Individual feedback to refine your bodywork and personal style

  • 50-hour WABA-recognized training certificate

What will we do?

Deepen WATA

Through the integration of movement, presence, and emotional awareness, you’ll learn to guide and be guided in a shared flow. Breathwork becomes your anchor—calming the nervous system, extending apnea with ease and opening the way to a spontaneous and fluid underwater dance.

Grounding Practices &

Self Connection

Land-based practices such as breathwork, bodywork, massage, and somatic movement help you cultivate embodiment, inner presence and mindful awareness throughout the training.

You’ll also be introduced to Kumbhaka

(breath retention) for deeper states of silence and joy.

Shared Learning & Group Experience

Exchange sessions, receive and offer feedback, and participate in group dynamics. The small group setting supports authentic connection and shared growth.

Also, practicing with different body types builds confidence,

precision and grace in the water.

Personal Growth & New Possibilities

Beyond professional goals, this is an experience of transformation.

Releasing your own limitations and blocks helps you become a more intuitive and compassionate practitioner.

You will expand your capacity to listen, hold space, and meet the unknown in yourself and others—with and through water.

"Is this the Right Time for Me?"

You might wonder…
Am I ready for Level 1? Do I need more practice before going further?

Here’s what we know: WATA 1 is about showing up with presence and a deep desire to learn.

Whether you’re feeling confident or uncertain,

this training will meet you where you are.

You’ll be guided with care, supported with precision, and encouraged to listen

—both to the water and to yourself.

What matters most isn’t how “advanced” you feel, but your willingness to go deeper.
Into your breath. Into your touch. Into your capacity to trust, surrender, and flow.

And you’ll be supported, all the way.

Captured moments from previous retreats...

What others say...

When Water calls again...

You’ve touched the water. You’ve felt its language. Now, something deeper calls.

WATA 1 is the place where form becomes freedom.

Where technique becomes presence.
Where your journey becomes your own.

If you feel the quiet yes inside you…
This may be the place to follow it.

The rest will meet you in the flow.
